Coach Bill Steh
Coach Bill grew up playing baseball in the Bay Area, culminating in several seasons of semi-pro ball. Since 2010, he has coached tee-ball, Little League (including District 64 champions), summer baseball, fall baseball, Bobby Sox (including 8u champions), Bobby Sox All-Stars, and 10u/12u travel softball.
Coach Bill prefers a small roster and increased playing time, while incorporating comprehensive statistical analyses to objectively evaluate performance. He is also a doctoral-level mental health clinician and emphasizes the importance of psychological factors that contribute to success such as self-confidence and positive team dynamics.
Coach Jason Gillis
Coach Jason Gillis is a Fairfield native who grew up on the ball fields in the area. He is a 3rd generation ball player with 15 years of playing experience.
Coach Jason has coached 6u, 8u and 10u Bobbysox, 10u Bobbysox Allstars, and was an assistant coach for SWAT 10u. He enjoys sharing his passion and love for the game while teaching the fundamentals that will help shape his players. He believes in the analytical aspect of the game while promoting self confidence and a strong work ethic.
Coach Jason states that he chose to coach with SWAT because he believes it is a great organization. The volunteers, board and coaching staff take an interest in the whole player. They are focused not only on making them great ball players but smart, compassionate and involved members of society.
